This is an unexpected surprise tucked within an unassuming condominum complex. The owners were seeking to renovate their winter retreat and the space needed to acommodate numerous guests with a mass of ski gear from their competitive children. Without having it feel like a “ski lodge”, there was a goal to still be warm and wrapped in wood. The project is conceptually a single linear piece of millwork that shapeshifts from the mudroom into the kitchen and living space. Plywood still punches above its weight.
