Knoxville, 2026
This is a speculative proposal for small multifamily housing on a vacant lot. The building takes contextual queues from the “average” American home. At roughly twice the square footage of a typical single-family home, the proposal includes three separate dwelling units. Three for two, everyone loves a deal. The relatively simple formal arrangement provides each home with shared, as well as common outdoor space, most notably the communal front porch. Tucked into what appears as an oversized chimney, is a stair leading to the upper unit.
